Visit by the Renowned economist and Former Economic Adviser to the President of Nigeria, Prof. Emmanuel Edozien, OFR to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka

Renowned economist, Prof. Emmanuel Edozien, OFR, (retired) paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. I. A. Olayinka, FAS, on Wednesday, 20 June, 2018 in his office. The purpose of the visit was to renew his association with the university. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Betty E. Edozien; Prof. O. A. Olutayo, the acting Dean of Faculty of the Social Sciences; the Head, Department of Economics, Prof. E. O. Ogunkola, Prof. Ibi Ajayi, Prof. T. A. Oyejide, Prof. Adedoyin Soyibo and Present at the occasion were the Director, University Advancement Center, Mr. A. A. Adeosun and the Director of Public Communication, Mr. O.M. Oladejo ably represented by Mr. Kunle Oladipo..

Prof. Emmanuel C. Edozien, OFR served as Professor of Development & International Economics at the University of Ibadan. Prof. Edozien served as the Economic Adviser to the President of Nigeria for over 3 years. He has consulted for the World Bank, the Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, Federal and State Government and multinational companies. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc since 2006 Until October 31, 2014. He serves as Vice Chairman and Director of AMNI International Petroleum Development Company Limited. He serves as a Director of Union Bank of Nigeria Limited, PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc and Paterson Zochonis Industries Plc. Prof Edozien serves as a Director of Nigerian Security Printing & Minting Company. He served as a Director of Union Bank of Nigeria plc from January 31, 2006 to November 15, 2007.
