HIS EXCELLENCY, THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, PROFESSOR YEMI OSINBAJO COMMISSIONS NATHANIEL O. IDOWU MULTIDISCIPLINARY TRANSLATION RESEARCH COMPLEX, UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN ON SATURDAY, 27 OCTOBER, 2018
As part of the celebration of Ibadan Medical School at 70. His Excellency, the Vice President, The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo GCON, SAN Commissioned Nathaniel O.Idowu Multidisciplinary Translational Research Complex of the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, the University of Ibadan on Saturday 27 October 2018.
The Vice President expressed his gratitude to the family of Late Chief Nathaniel Olabyi Idowu (Okan Lomo of Ibadan land) for the generous funding of the 3 projects. He informed that the three hundred and fifty million Multidisciplinary Translational Research Complex comprises purpose designed laboratories, teaching rooms, offices renovated and expanded animal house for the researchers.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka, FAS ably represented by the Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Kayode Adebowale appreciates the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for honoring the occasion.
He also expressed his gratitude to Nathaniel O. Idowu Foundation for providing a Multidisciplinary Translational Research Complex for the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology.
Mr. Yemi Idowu, the son of the Late Chief Nathaniel O. Idowu noted that the Nathaniel O. Idowu Foundation is a major Philanthropic Organisation which funds the project in several sectors. The Provost of the College of Medicine, Prof. E.O. Oluwabunmi Olapade-Olaopa expressed his
gratitude to the Vice President and other dignitaries for their presence.
Present at the occasion were the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, Honorable Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, the Executive Secretary, National University Commission Prof. Abubakar Rasheed represented by Dr. Esther Adesina, the Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, Prof. Temitope Alonge and other Dignitaries
