Today, a key index of leading world universities, such as the University of Ibadan, is the capacity to deploy teaching and learning resources outside of the physical classroom.

The imperative of this deployment has become manifest in the current Coronavirus pandemic that has forced nations to impose lockdown on persons and institutions. The response of universities all over the world to this development is the utilisation of online pedagogical resources to facilitate the teaching and learning process from home.

The University of Ibadan has a huge capacity for the e-learning system, but the effective operation of the system depends strictly on the teachers’ volunteering to be mentored and to mentor.

The ongoing lockdown seems to provide some leisure for us to hone our I.T based pedagogy skills with the University's e-learning system. This will enhance our capacity to effectively key into the global technologically-driven university systems to utilise e-resources for learning both during regular sessions and emergencies such as the Coronavirus pandemic which precludes physical classroom interactions.
