Dr. Femi O. Omololu had his education at the University of Calabar, University of Ibadan and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. His areas of interest are Theory, Social Problems and Population Studies. He received the Merit Award for Academic Excellence (1981-84), CODESRIA Ph.D. research grant in 1988. He was a Population Council Fellow in 1991 and a Rockefeller Foundation Research Grantee (1992, 1993).
Dr. Omololu has served as a consultant/ resource person to the WHO, UNICEF, CEDPA and several other organizations. He was a member of the UNDOC Technical Advisory Committee on Drug Abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention in Nigeria. He also served as the Zonal Manager (Southwest) for the Education Trust Fund. He is also a member of the Global Health Research Council.
Dr. Omololu is instrumental to the establishment of the Professional Master in Project Development and Implementation Programme in the University, of which he is currently the Coordinator.
