Professor Adebowale asserted that multidisciplinary studies is the pivot for a robust discussion, stating that the university’s Faculty of Multidisciplinary Studies is a viable platform for strategic collaborations with paramilitary agencies.

The Comptroller-General, Mrs Kemi Nanna Nandap, reiterated that the core mandate of the Nigerian Immigration Service is to provide border security, stressing that the situation of the country requires knowledge-based security architecture.

She stated that there is a need for the Immigration Service to work with scholars, adding that a collaboration with the academia will enhance its operations and benefit both parties.

The Comptroller-General emphasized the need to improve knowledge and research, explaining that the face of security is evolving and the security challenges Nigeria is grappling with must be tackled from a sound knowledge base.
