Welcome to the University of Ibadan Sports Centre. You will no doubt find that there is more to life here than studying and that is where Sports and Recreation comes in. There are extensive opportunities for sports and recreation, supported by a team of dedicated Staff who provide avenue for activities to suit all ability levels at the University’s Sports Centre.
The University has excellent provision for sporting and recreational activities. The New Complex near Obafemi Awolowo Hall include a football pitch , Fitness Centre and a rubberized (ten lane) track, the only 10 lane track In West Africa and one of the few in Africa.
The facilities probably embedded at the Faculty of the Social Science, Faculty of Education and Kenneth Dike Library includes a 50 metre Olympic size Swimming Pool, Two football pitches, four hard Tennis Courts, hockey pitch, two Volleyball court, Cricket pitch with pavilion, two Squash court and a Mini Multi purpose indoor hall for Badminton, Table Tennis, Taekwondo and Judo. The two sporting Complexes in the University welcome all students for active and recreational sports throughout the week and during vacation.
