Candidates must possess at least Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees in Communication- related courses. The candidate must have worked for not less than 9 years in managerial capacity in an electronic media establishment or taught relevant courses in the Department of Communication and Language Arts of the University of Ibadan or other recognized tertiary institutions. He or She must not be lower than a Senior Lecturer. Additional professional qualifications in Public Relations, Advertising; etc. will be an added advantage.
Duties:
• Acts on behalf of the Executive Director in his/her absence
• Provides leadership and direction for technical staff, desk officer and field support staff, setting an effective agenda and ensuring performance goals are set and met.
• Interprets purposes of Unit programs, objectives and policies to stakeholders.
• Participates in the development of policies and procedures required for the improvement or modification of existing Unit programs and the implementation of new programs.
• Coordinates all activities of the Diamond FM Radio and TV Stations.
• Supervises digitization of very important/historic events in and relating to the University.
• Collaborates with other related Units in ensuring the broadcasting of important University events like Convocation, Matriculation etc.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Director.
