Organogram


The Centre shall be governed by a board consisting of a Chairman who shall be the DVC (Admin), a Director, a deputy director, a programme officer who should be a qualified guidance counsellor who shall be secretary to the board, men and women of proven integrity and impeccable character such one male hall warden and a female hall warden, four religious clerics from UI Baptist Church, Catholic, Chapel of the Resurrection and the Chief Imam of UI Mosque, Dean of Students, DRs (Estab) & (Students) or their representatives, a representative of the bursar, representatives of Muslim Students, Association of Unibadan Campus Students’ Fellowships, the National Catholic Students, and four other persons to represent various interest groups, as identified by the VC, with proven record of good social behaviours. The board could exercise its power to co-opt not more than three other people who it considers could contribute immensely to engendering the achievement of its mandate (the co-opted members should include: Legal Officer, PRO and one other at the discretion of the board). The Organogram is summarized below: The board shall made up of:- the DVC (Admin) –Chairman, The director, Deputy Director, 4 Religious Leaders on Campus, Dean of Students, DRs (Estab & Students), 2 Hall Wardens (a male and a female), 3 Student Religious Group Representatives namely: MSS, AUCSF, NCS, A Programme Officer (Guidance Counsellor)/secretary 4 other persons appointed by the VC to represent other interest groups The Board shall co-opt up to not more than three other members when it is absolute necessary (PRO, Legal Officer and the CSO or his representative). Functions of the Board The board shall formulate the policies that may be requisite for achieving its mandate Receives and considers reports from the director from time to time Gives general direction and guidance to the Centre Considers and recommends budget for Centre to the VC for approval Liaison between the Centre and the VC in matters concerning policies, even though the director must have direct access to the VC for daily running of the Centre Takes decisions that will enhance the Centre’s mandate Any other duty assigned to it by the VC Give annual report to Senate Liaison with the anti-cultism committee, now its own committee, though still appointed by the VC Sets up other committees as may be found relevant to achieving its objectives Functions of the Director The Director shall be responsible for the daily running of the Centre and ensures that all the functions of the Centre creditably performed duties and are well coordinated to make it result-oriented. The director shall be assisted by a deputy director who will deputise for the director whenever the former is not around. The latter will also carry out any functions assigned to him/her by the director including supervision of the staff of the Centre.
