WORKSHOP: APPLICATIONS OF MOLECULAR MARKERS IN BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH

TRAINING WORKSHOP ON APPLICATIONS OF MOLECULAR MARKERS IN BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH, 27-29 FEBRUARY, 2012

Applications are invited from staff and postgraduate students of the University of Ibadan to participate in a three day workshop on ‘Applications of Molecular Markers in Biological Research’ scheduled for 27-29 February, 2012 and sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation. The objectives of the workshop are to improve the knowledge and competencies of staff and postgraduate students of the University of Ibadan in the use of molecular techniques for biological research and promote networking and collaborative molecular biology research. Participants in the workshop shall be staff and postgraduate students from Faculties in the biological sciences and relevant institutes who have limited theoretical and practical knowledge of molecular markers, are desirous of using molecular techniques in their research and can demonstrate relevance of the training to their current and future research. For the 15 slots available, attempt will be made to ensure gender balance.
